“ I got two rolls and it was plenty to fill me up. The food had a great taste and the service was good ”
“ Went during lunch time, the place was clean & inviting. The food was very good & fast, only thing the shrimp needs to be deveined (come on now, it's the digestive track) other than that the service was courteous & quick. ”
“ Great Service. Great Flavors not just sushi but the plates as well. Not authentic Japanese if that is what you are looking for. It is a fusion of Japanese and Mexican flavor which hits the spot if you like that kick. The place is family friendly. ”
“ Fantastic restaurant! Not only do they have excellent sushi, but also their teppanyaki and yakisoba was delicious. We each got a plate and shared it. I highly recommend the Villarral rolls for something new! We came here for my birthday, and I do not regret it! It is our new favorite sushi place! On a side note, the service was great and it was very clean. ”
“ Great sushi and clean restaurant. Waitress was fast and courteous. Highly recommend. Did not expect such a good sushi place in Laredo. ”
“ Came here on a business trip. It was not very busy during Tuesday lunch time. We ordered a mixed of fried and fresh rolls. For appetizers, I recommend the Tuna Tiradito - savory with a kick of spiciness when you bite into the serrano pepper, and cucumber salad - refreshing and light to start our meals. We ordered 2 fried rolls that have fried rice inside the roll and they were pretty bland. I don't think they actually put enough seasoning into the fried rice. Surprising the fresh rolls are much better with more flavors. If you like raw fish, I recommend Benavides roll, Cigarroa roll, Sakanamaki roll, and Ahumada roll. Overall, the eating experience was decent. FYI, there was only 1 or 2 servers speak English if you don't speak Spanish. Service was good. ”
“ I've been a sushi madre customer since their first location on Saunders. The service remains high in quality and the dishes remain progressive and reliable. Though I'm not a fan of raw seafood, sushi madre caters to people like me perfectly! The avocado salad, poblano soup, and fresh rolls always hit the spot. I would recommend the Laredo, Hurtado, and La Loca roll. If you're trying to get the most authentic sushi experience, you may be mislead by coming here. But if you want an experience of sushi that is creative and has a twist on the traditional, this is the place. Also, clean eating is made very easy here with their fresh salads and teppanyaki plates. ”
